well, its september, again, and you know what that means…if you do, please let me know, because i have no clue.
i recently did a cover for Layered Butters Kubrick issue, I was pretty stoked on it til i saw the art inside then i was a little bit ashamed, mine is the least good. still, you can pick it up here and enjoy all the amazing artwork inside!
otherwise, i updated some of my portfolio category pieces, most of it i’m sure you’ve seen, but now its official. some stuff coming up eventually, been really focused on this tree fort lately, getting it squared away. added a nice slide. free on craigslist naturally. as was this amazing rc cola soda machine. doesn’t work but still, looks awesome. got a new fence built to separate the goats from the emus. they were eating the emu’s feathers, so thats an issue. supposedly if you paint the posts in asphalt sealer, they last longer in the ground. ask me how that worked out in 10 years. found a replacement oiltank for free for our one that sprung a leak. i know nothing about installing oil tanks so that’s an issue. and my 12 year old daughter made these clay figures for her cousins birthday. aren’t they something? amazing. been a busy summer. was supposed to built a deck but i am just a little bit intimidated, it’ll end up looking like it belongs on the set of beatlejuice or something. so we’ll see.
otherwise, these links were enjoyed by me, so i’ll pass em on, enjoy them in good health (or bad, i know things are going around).
- honey badger cartoon. this artist is great. i’d like to make this game, seems fun.
- honestly, having worked at a camp for 4 years in a row, i love this type of cheese. this link is for sarah specifically so she’ll try this.
- this knot seems handy. will i learn it? i can’t even tell time on a clock with hands.
- my friend nando got me a figure that is based on this snake version of cobra commander. my kids hate that i haven’t opened it yet.
- ambigram. another talent i need to develop.
- amazing art of ducks. i grew up appreciating duck artwork, so this is in my wheelhouse.
- bill hader’s opinion of ‘no country for old men’ makes me want to see it again
- alien: romulus discussion. some valid points i thought.
